Default Need a little help

Ive recently made the decision to switch from WoW to guild Wars (monthly fee is a pain :P ) but ive kinda got myself stuck..i only have the casah for one game and i knw the recent expansion Factions has released and from what ive heard you dont need the first game to play it...should i buy factions or the original? what game has more content?

also any tips on classes would be appreciated ^^ i was a hunter on WoW so im sorta leaning towards ranger

any advice would be appreciated

well, prophecies is the first, and its bigger than factions. so id get proph. i have played some factions, i hear its small, but i have yet to buy it, and nightfall when that is released. ranger is like a hunter, using the wilderness to survive. as ranger you can trap, range attack and alot of other stuff. just go to the site and you can learn about the professions. playing through prophecies 3 times.. i can tell you it has more than factions, i think you would enjoy it more, and it has many things to do, unless your like me and beat it. it will keep you busy for ahwile.. then get factions and nightfall. But all classes have their strengths and weaknesses, just go with whichever suites you.

As a WoW player you may be more comfortable with factions as you level up a lot quicker in it.

However, I believe you will learn more about the game and how it really works if you go with Prophices. And it has double the content.

I reccomend Prophecies. It was the first, so you will have a proper introduction to some of the storyline's characters, and it is also way bigger. Though the levelling and skill acquisition is slower, I believe that makes the game better (that's just my opinion). Factions also has an incredibly steep learning curve, so it isn't ncie to new players at all. Prophecies is much easier to learn.

Wait..wouldn't he be more comfortable in Prophecies because you don't level up as fast over there? I mean, World of Warcraft leveling isn't exactly a quick process.

Perhaps you were referring to being of a higher level..

Though it's not nearly as quick as Factions Wow is notorious for being able to level cap very quickly compared to most popular MMOs.

-_- I just can't imagine using the words "quick" and "World of Warcraft" together when discussing levelling. Sure, comparing can work, but it's still a bitch to level up in World of Warcraft and you're forced to do it more or less. Quick...bah.

I'm just saying, even through comparison, World of Warcraft levelling shouldn't be regarded as "quick".

That's probably a good idea. There are other good secondaries for a Ranger, but you can change later on in the game. As a ranger/monk, you're very tough and can even solo quite a bit.
